The sun sets on the shed in Drew, Mississippi where 14-year-old was beaten and murdered by Roy Bryant, and his half-brother, J. W. Milam in August of 1955. The men had forced their way into Till's family home, grabbed Till out of bed at gunpoint, and took him away. Three days later, Till's beaten, swollen, and decomposing body surfaced in the Tallahatchie River. Till had been weighted down with a 75-pound cotton gin fan. Sarah Warnock/Clarion Ledger
